Please join us for a casual gathering as we kick off our wedding weekend. We would love to have you there for the entire evening’s festivities, but we understand that you have likely traveled a fair distance to be with us, and may only be able to make it for a portion of the night. While we won’t hold you to it if you are delayed or arrive earlier than expected, please RSVP below to let us know which portions of the night you best plan on attending. Thanks!

Why Lake Placid?

In July 2017, we took our first trip to Lake Placid to celebrate our three-year anniversary. As we approached Main Street and saw the Olympic Ski Jumps high above the trees, we fell in love with the town. That evening we were treated to a torrential rainstorm followed by a mystical fog giving way to a gorgeous sunset with a perfect reflection on Mirror Lake.

The next morning, Josh proposed to Caroline during a private segway ride around Mirror Lake. Within hours we had decided to make Lake Placid the destination of our dream wedding.

On the day of the big proposal, Josh had one more little surprise up his sleeve. He had arranged for flowers and champaign on our private porch at our Bed and Breakfast to celebrate our engagement and 3rd anniversary.

The Wedding Day:

Before the wedding, enjoy your day in Lake Placid!

At 11:15am, for those interested, we’ve arranged for a 1-hour private boat tour of historic Lake Placid. Space for this tour is limited, so we ask that you sign up online to reserve a spot. The Wedding Evening:

Dress: Cocktail Attire

We encourage you to use our shuttle service which will transport guests to and from the wedding. Information will be provided upon check-in at your hotel. If you prefer to drive, complimentary parking is available at the venue. Please use this address in your GPS: 30 Marina Way, Lake Placid, NY 12946.

Shuttle Pickup:

Lake House at the High Peaks Resort (across the street from the Main Building). Please be ready for the shuttles by 3pm. Bus assignments will be provided upon check-in at your hotel.

Driving Directions: Once on Saranac Ave., drive approximately one mile, looking for “Boots and Birdies” Mini Golf on your right. Just past it, turn right onto Whiteface Inn Lane. Drive just over a mile and look for the small Whiteface Club sign on the right*. Turn into the driveway and proceed past the golf course and follow signs down to the ceremony location.

* If you see the sign that says “Olympic Resort Condominiums and Sandbrook Townhouses,” you’ve gone too far.

After Party

Join us after the wedding back at the Lake House at the High Peaks Resort! Change into jeans and hoodies, sip warm drinks around the bonfire, pull out the guitars, and enjoy late-night noshes as we keep the celebration going.
